2025 is right around the corner. And that begs the question: Do you want to accomplish more in the next twelve months than you did in the last twelve years?
If that's what you want, let me show you how I did it in 2024.
The year started out like the last 3 years for me.
I had vague goals and a lack of direction. I had been in a slump for the last 3 years. I felt like I was going no where. At times, life even seemed meaningless.
Up to that point, I wasn't a fan of goals. Most of my goals either went unfulfilled or I'd come up short.
And many got completely forgotten in a journal.
But something was burning inside me to change. Even though I hated change, I knew the only way to get a different result was to do something different.
I needed to get out of my comfort zone.
I like the SMART goal-setting system, but it didn't work for me...neither did all the others I tried (and I've tried them all).
What I needed was something that worked for me.
I started by analyzing what parts of my past worked and what didn't.
Right in front of my eyes, something started to take shape.
After about four weeks of back-and-forth deliberating with myself, I uncovered the GPA system for myself.
It wasn't flashy. It was just direct, simple, and turned out to be VERY effective...at least for me.
Let's see if it can help you.
The G stood for: Goal
The P stood for: Plan of action
The A stood for: Accountability
